Hi - I am desperately hoping someone out there can help me.. for the last 5 years I have been trying so hard to find the great Gregorian style chant song crossed with techno they played the winter of 2001... the name of the song from what I was told by the manager of the store at that time.. was..

Spiritus Domini - Robbie VS The Benedictine Monks ... and she had mentioned it was released but only in limited quanities or promotion..

with the advent of the internet I have not been able to find this great great song anywhere.. I hope someone out there has heard this and would agree that it was very unique and fiercely addicting....... kind of like enigma ... but better...

I hope someone has the cd it was played on and can help me.. I will pay if needed to get a copy of this..

Manager in Training for A&F

Hey everyone!

I am going to graduate with my Bachelors degree in about a year and I am hoping to get on as an MIT at an Abercrombie location. On the Careers section of the A&F website, all internships and corporate positions require a 3.0 GPA to get in, is it the same for the MIT program, or is that even the case with corporate positions? Would they take someone with an awesome work ethic and personality over someone with a perfect GPA? I'd appreciate anyone's thoughts!

Remodeling

My store is closing for 5 months for a massive re-model... while it shouldn't be that big of a deal, what with Gilly Hicks opening right down the hall, I'm freaking cuz i have no idea where they're gunna put our 130+ staff... most of us are going to the kids store, but the kids stores are super tiny... anyone else having this happen to them? I'm pretty sure my manager said that a few other stores were having something similar take place and i'd like to get as much info about it as possible... Merci!

Another chain store bites the dust

Omahas Abercrombie and Fitch chain store will close its door on feb 2 2008. The company has invested in a brand new canoe store less than five minutes up the street at the Westroads Mall. The new canoe store will open on January 31 and most if not all of the associates will transfer there. There is also a Abercrombie Kids ( the first in nebraska ) being built at the Westroads. The adult at One Pacific has been a staple of old omaha money for a very long time. Hunting and camping gear was sold there and the original plaid carpet, light woodwork, and open floorplan still exists. It will be missed!

I think friend sold me fake fierce, can someone help

I have a friend whose mom got him like 3 bottles of 3.4 oz fierce so he sold me one of them. However, when opening the package there was a picture of a models back on the bottle and not the usual ABS picture. Does anyone know if they sell bottles with pictures of a back on it? My friend does not know where his mom got the bottles. Any help would be appreciated.

I am in the southern region of the U.S. and have been interrogated by LP to leak information. Though they still have not "let me go" four months down the road, so I have come to the conclusion that he had nothing on me which is the truth. My LP is a tall white guy whose name starts with a B. I am keeping my location and names concealed because it is an LP issue. Though I was curious if anyone else has been subjected to any harsh treatment methods by their LP's?

If so let me know what happened and what you did?

Wardrobe disaster and MIT interview

Hi,

I have an interview with A&F for an MIT position. The thing is, I submitted my resume through my university, and so my interview will take place in the career office at my school. How should I dress? I have worked as a model for 2 years, and I know how you should dress if you were to interview in the store (A&F of course!) but the career office has a formal atmosphere where people interview for accounting jobs as well as well as more informal jobs. Haha, they even have a poster that shows people how to dress for success and how not to (jeans!), and I would feel so odd to walk in wearing casual clothes. I don't want to give the wrong impression by dressing down amongst people in suits, but I don't want to look to stuffy either, ugh! Has anybody else had this kind of interview? Should I dress professional? I was considering wearing a gray business jumper with an AnF button up underneath and gray tights...

london Store smell

Hey this is my blog. I been working on it for a while, just for fun though. I really don't take it that seriously. Most people email me pictures. But yeah, I have a lot of models posted. I even have some from Fall 2007, Hollister Co., and Ruehl No. 936. At the moment, the first page is boring, but the pages after that have some really cool pictures and candids from upcoming models. I have over 400 models posted, and way more to come. You'll be amazed and suprise from these pictures I have. On the site, I put Anf Tribe as an extra!

It's pretty easy to navigate on my page. Theres a search bar at the top, labels of the season, and my long list of archives.To go to the next page, click 'older posts' at the bottom of the site.

If you see that I'm missing some models, let me know. I want to post as many models that i can.

I'm getting tired of seeing the same things all the time in AF.
Anyone else not like the same things over and over??
IE: cranky parents, snobby pre-teens, being confined to a room to stand there like a friggin mannequin.

So, I acted on it and got a job at Urban Outfitters.
I mean, UO is actually a FUN place to work.
I'm kind of over AF and their overpriced, mostly (not all!) low-quality clothes.
I liked it in high school, but, ehh, I'm not really digging what it's become.
Idk about u guys, but I have like 12-year-olds coming into my store messing up tables and closets and whatnot. Then they end up buying nothing.
And at AF, you have to be so perfect to be beautiful.

I plan on leaving sometime next year.
Yeah, yeah, it's just a little extra something to help me get through college, but
I was SO BORED.

I still love some of the hoodies and jeans, but the 16-year-old sex humor on shirts isn't really funny anymore.

Please tell me there's someone else who feels like this!

Fitting Room Art

In our store we have the generic art work at the cashwrap/fitting rooms. Most of them of have titles, like the one with a guy in an "A" baseball cap with his mouth open in a laugh is called "Yell" and theres one with two girls called "Sisters" and so on. Theres one I really like in the dressing room and it has three girls in a boat with a golden retriever. One of the girls has short spikey hair and has on a guys shirt and coat and she's smiling and leaning on the girl next to her. I really would like to know the official title as well as if I can get a digital copy to use as my background...I think its the sweetest picture ever and If I could I'd by a framed copy for my room. i'd really love it if somone could help me out with this one.

Hi, my name is Jackie. I was promoted to Full Time Stock at abercrombie kids at the end of January in Illinois.. store 324. I recently transferred to the brand new Hollister store 607 at the Mall in Columbia, Maryland. My stockroom is the BIGGEST anyone who has come to see it has ever seen. I don't know the exact numbers.. but i probably have about 7 nine foot bays and 6 six foot bays for bettys, 8 six foot bays for dudes, and another 7 six foot bays for continuing dudes plus clearance. Anyway, Mike Jeffries is touring in 2 weeks, and I want to make sure that everything is absolutely perfect for when he comes. Along with making sure my stockroom is up to par as far as numerics, marketing, and cleanliness... my Impacters are mostly minors and not all of them know exactly what is going on because we just opened May 31st. I was thinking that I am going to pick my best Impacters and have a meeting for about 2 hours on a weekend day and sit down with them. During this meeting, I wanted to watch the EUSR video as well as the loss prevention video again.. Just to make sure everything is freshly in their minds. Also, go over the dress code and what exactly is expected of them as far as looks go when that day comes. Another thing, I wanted to go over how exactly to sensor and process shipment, as well as how to deal with go backs and prepping it for them to go back out onto the floor. I just wanted to know if there was any advice anyone could give me as to what else I could possibly teach them or even learn for myself before Mike Jeffries decides to come. I am a little stressed out thinking about it. I just want to make sure that if Mike Jeffries decides to ask my Impacters some questions about the stockroom or if he asks me, that we can all know the correct answers and be on our best alertness. ANY advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!

Hi Guys Abercrombie opened in London today and I wondered if anyone here has been? Also abercrombie.com now redirects to a UK site with UK prices. £70 $130US for a shirt!!! Think I will save up for flight to NY - it will work out cheaper!

Swim Shorts

Does anyone know how long the swimshorts will be around for? It may seem like a random question, but i don't know if they will stop being sold after spring break.
Overall, i'd prefer to buy them closer to summer, rather than right now. I just hope they'll still be around

SPRING BREAK FLOORSET INFO!!!

Hey everyone-
Here is some info for the 07 Spring Break Floorset:

I just left A&F after closing and the Management Program printed and THANK GOD we are going back to spritzing FIERCE in all A&F Stores starting Sunday the 28th!!! NO MORE PROOF!

Also with the Spring Break Floorset starting Monday. We are getting 50's!!! I think it said guys get 1 top and 1 bottom... (Girls may be the same as well...idk). By looking at the outfits it looks like we will be pushing blue and white again... for the guys you can pick from the Blue of White Deer Brook Polo or the White Brandy Brook Polo and then for jeans - Only Baxter's. Girls have a choice of picking like 6 different camis and Erin Skinny Jeans.

For Taglines… Front Room tagline: “Hi, Ready For Spring Break?” Register tagline: “ Do you have a favorite fragrance? Your should check out Fierce or Classic!”

A&F in Europe

Hey guys, just wanted to say hello as I'm a new to this tribe (seems pretty cool). I'm planning to work for A&F once they open their first store in London, is it easy to get a job there if you have no experience as a sales assistant in retail? Any tips?

By the way, do you have any news about the new opening in London? I've seen the store they are planning to take over, it's 10,000 sq ft and in a great location (ex Jil Sander's flagship store).

I was in San Diego and I really wanted to go to their Ruehl store. I don't even go to Ruehl that much as the closest one to me is about an hour's drive away. So w/e I'm going to the Fashion Valley store and--just my luck--it's closed for now due to fire damage.

I love the atmosphere you walk right into when you enter a Ruehl store.

Help with Abercrombie Kids song...

Hey.

Last year I worked in Abercrombie Kids while my store was renovating from the months of I believe April - June. There was one song that's been stuck in my head fi anyone knows it, it was a guy singing it and had a laid back feel, the only lyrics I remember are:

"...outside villanova" and "but she's only _(can't rememeber)_, when I'm sleeping by her side"
